Dear Jen,
First of all, it sounds like you need a {{{{Jen}}}}. :)
I wish you didn't feel the necessity to apologize for venting here. Most here do understand. And yes, I've sat in the waiting room and paid a hefty office visit fee only to be dissapointed by a clueless doctor, more than a few times. It is discouraging, but after twenty years I'd finally found a doctor who is not afraid to admit that he does not posess the answer or miracle cure. That for me, is much easier to take then those doctors who used to look upon me as some sort of problem patient who wasn't cooperating or didn't have enough sense to know my own body. My doctor respects my opinions, suggestions and decisions. He does not doubt me. He does not force meds on me. He prescribed the O2 per my request, as Imitrex is contraindicated for me, and he understands that I've grown weary of the 25 years of med trials. He helps me get through them the best that I can. I'll say a prayer that you can find a doctor like this someday very soon. Hang in there Jen! Wishing you a pain free day.
