reduced me to a snivelling, snotty wreck.....I hope that I'm reading WAY too much into what you are saying. But either way, I just want you to know that you will ALWAYS be alive as long as you're remembered....and I will NEVER forget you. You are a tower of strength to us lesser mortals and your wise, calm nature is a lesson to us all.
The pain of a death is for those left behind. Not for those who have gone on, I believe, to something better. The gap they leave behind is often to hard to brook. They say that time is a great healer. That's complete garbage. It isn't. Time just makes the pain easier to live with. That's all. Period.
I heard a very good analogy of grief the other night. After the shock and denial, the guilt and the crying you find that 1, maybe even 2 years has gone by and you suddenly realise you don't have to remember to breathe any more.
All I have to do to "take a moment" is to think of you and it always helps me bite back a cutting remark, to think of the other person's feelings. You're a VERY special person. Just remember that.
And if anyone wants to call me too "touchy-feely" go right ahead.
Take care and God bless,
Tracy
