My demon picks vacations, theoretically the low stress period after the high stress of the job. But...
As soon as I noticed it, I started to de-stress the periode before my vacation. Turned down jobs, let things ride. Booked train tickets so I'd know I wouldn't have to drive myself. It didn't work.
Besides, vacations tend to be rather hard work and stressy for me. I do all the driving and since we rent cottages/flats, I get all the housekeeping and the fetching and carrying to do as well. It can't be helped and I am not complaining but that's all rather stressy.
And then there's the fact that once the pain begins, it is high stress with a vengeance. I haven't seen the demon backing down in mid-vacation yet.
Verrrry interesting: our vacation begins september 1. I am getting shadows now that are growing stronger by degrees.
But we had an impromptu vacation in june. Planned and booked a fortnight before the fact - and no shadows, no attacks, although the time before we left was hectic and the heat out there was horrific.
Demon didn't have time enough to prepare?
Was on vacation itself?
I don't know. I just know CH is a wily coyote.
