I am in my sixth bout in 5 years. For the first five bouts, the headaches came only at night. I would usually get only one headache which started 1 1/2 to 2 hours after falling asleep. This current bout is different. I am now not only getting 2 or 3 each night, but I may get one or two during the day and am also hounded by shadow headaches.
So they do change. I figure if they can change for the worse like they have for me in this current bout, they can also change for the better. Maybe there will be fewer of them, maybe they won't be as intense, maybe they won't last as long, maybe they won't happen as frequently, maybe they'll just occur at one specific time of day (like my first ones did).
Do not despair. Enjoy those times when you are free of the headaches. And remember that we are all here to support each other. I've only been on this board for a few days and already I feel better knowing that I am not alone and that there others who really do know and understand and offer unconditional support. We can get through this together.
