You are right - at least you were.
We have decided to postpone CHAW for a month or so for several reasons.
1. We really did not allow ourselves time to perfect the CH questionnaire (there are some technical problems best attacked by those with a knowledge of programming and statistics). Eventually, with expert manipulation and revisions, we hope to turn out *the* questionnaire that will be a tool
for researchers as well as laymen. There has not been a Q of this scope in the past.
2. We need to plan some other events to go along with CHAW. I have gotten suggestions from experts who advise such things as offering to speak to local clubs, offering to give interviews to local media (some of the older MB people know all about this), and otherwise promoting CHAW in our own areas. The national press has pretty much ignored us in the past. As in politics, grass roots work is essential.
3. The national scene is changing, however.
The Discovery researcher has contacted us as you all know and has been very pleased with your cooperation and helpful input; Mary Darcy of the large public radio station is planning to feature CH in one of her productions; Dr. Goadsby has approached Simon about a documentary in the UK; and there is one other major event we hope will occur and that we will announce later.
None of the work done to date has been in vain. So many have very enthusiastically distributed brochures, flyers, press releases, newsletters, etc. Each person who has been given this information is another person who is a little more aware of our suffering. Many, many thanks.
