Chuck, I've tried mostly all the narcs you can try without it being illegal. none of them do any thing except make you sleepy.(That's not a bad thing usually) If you read all the literature about the length of the usual individual attack, they say 10min to 3hrs. Not too many drugs work in 10 min. How do we know if it's the drug working of if the cluster is over by itself? I myself have a very hard time with this. Are the potential side affects worth it in the long run? Not too many sufferes are willing to go through an attack without any thing so we may never know. There is also the issue of rebound. Stadol gave me rebound. One of the longest cluster periods of my life with up to 8 a day. Demerol 100mg in the shot form did nothing except make my head fuzzy, and unable to deal with the attack. I could not focus to get through the spasms. I would not let the ER give it to me again. But....Everyone is different. you have to try what you think will work, legally. Good luck!
