I had acupunture, and it worked quite well. I went to an acupuncturist in Boston's chinatown, and couldn't even begin to tell you the points. If you contact me, I'll get you his information. You or your doc may need to speak Chinese; I certainly don't which made the treatment interesting.
My acupuncture involved about 25 needles; the first time (1995) they were electrified. They were in my ankles, forearms, spot between the thumb and fingers, between the eyes, and a bunch on the pain points. I also had a medicine tea. Contact my email for questions. To my estimation, I've stopped two bouts cold with it.
