I have been drinking it almost all my life - and I still find it soothing to a CH attack. But it must be very hot. I think for me the heat helps more than the caffeine. Anyway, I hold the hot liquid in my mouth on the upper gumline of the affected side. It's a tricky manuever, but it soothes the pain which originates there - in my case.
