In response to your question on chiropratic treatment and its effectiveness, about 3 yrs. ago in the middle of a cycle i scheduled an appt. with my chiropractor ( have been seeing him for about 15 yrs. total for neck and lower back problems) He adjusted my neck in a different way than he usually had before. I went back for another adjustment 1 day later and alas, no more clusters!!
I am in the middle of a vicious cycle right now - probably the worst yet in the 9 yrs. suffering with these things - went back to the chiropractor and it didnt seem to be very helpful this time - go figure - the nature of this beast!!!
I hope that before you consider having any type of surgery you exhaust every possible option out there - there are soo many! If you chose the surgery i wish you the best of luck and success in overcoming this unbearable pain!! I guess you just get to the point after awhile that you feel you have no other option!
