In response to your post, i have suffered from these cluster headaches since i was 22 (now 31) I at first only received 1-2 a night after falling asleep - i am now currently in the middle of a cycle that is very indicative of what you're experiencing right now! the last two nights i as well have had about 2-3 in about a 3 hour period with "little ones" consuming the time between! When i first starting getting these "headaches" i too thought i was going out of my mind - alas i was diagnosed with a reason for the demon! In the past Imitrex has worked for me on occasion, currently i am trying the oxygen which has seemed to be fairly effective if the headache is caught in the early stages.
As far as the vomitting is concerned - last night was the first night that i experienced that with one of these clusters. I was told that it is not a normal symptom of cluster headaches - usually indicative of a migraine condition. (which i had suffered with in my late teens) I think that the vomitting only happened in my case because i was working myself up to the point of hyperventilating. I hope that it doesnt happen again - also last night i think i might have over dosed on the water treatment ( about 5 gallons in an eight hour period) Of course with these headaches you tend not to eat correctly which doesnt help!
I'm so sorry to hear that you are among the people of this world with one of the most painful and misunderstood conditions to exist! They are certainly no fun and people tend to think that you are in the beginning stages of insanity! Keep an eye on the message board - there tends to be a lot of helpful people with a lot of helpful information who know where you're coming from and what you're experiencing!
