I agree with you about getting worse before it gets better. I know, or at least right now, the Imitrex works for me. That is my med of choice. I am nocturnal, episodic, therefore, mine are on top of me with a 8 - 10 by the time I wake up. O2 helps dull the pain, but the Imitrex Injection gets the job done most of the time. Point is that once I do the injection or spray....my head feels like it is really going to burst...I know I am going to get a lot worse before I get better...I really feel scared to death each time I do it because of stroke factor....Very affraid of that end of it...but I can't live with the pain either...I need relief immediately if possible when it is full blown...Makes you weigh the odds each time between the pain and the meds.
I bet our nightside tables could start up a small pharmacy, I know mine sure can....However, I have given my Maxalt to my Sunday School Teacher because they do work for her, however, she is a migrane sufferer...She is also my Pastor's wife and their youngest son sufferes from Clusters...They fully understand my frustration and sufferings...
I WANT THE CURE....not the meds...
