Hi Di,
I started aroud 8, now 61. When I was a kid they were dismissed as sinus attacks, eyestrain, etc. It didn't get really bad 'till my late teens/early 20s and back then the docs were totally clueless. I am very light sensative and somewhat sound sensative during a CH but fortunately, my beast visits mostly at night. While CH is not a fatal disease (it only seems so at the time), there are other serious physiological disorders that can have the same symptoms and should be evaluated by a doc, most likely a neuro, with experience in dealing with head pain. The only way to accurately diagnose CH is the elimination of all other causes. Please feel free to email me at any time, while I may not know a lot, I know how to point. So very much good luck to both.
