Well, we got a wonderful vehicle to gather data, the WWW.
Thousands surf it every minute of the day, from all origins, etc.
I am sure that only a very small fraction of visitors suffering
from CH actually post here. Even so, I think that
we have a unique oportunity to gether statistically
significant data. Yes, it involves surveys, but of a different kind.
Instead of posting a survey, the usual format observed, or
participate in the sort of general survey in this site in
some other page. Why not expand that CGI or PERL utility to
include a far more comprehensive survey. One that goes
in depth into the specifics of foods consumed prior to, during
and after a CH attack, cycle, time of the year, smoking habits,
drug habits, medication habits, weather fronts, etc.
A sort of data dairy for those that suffer from CH. In
this manner we can record everyone's special conditions and
situations that may give rise to an attack, or after which an attack takes place.
This can be done with a CGI program, or JAVA, or whatever it
is called. It would address directly what happens to each
person, while taking note of frequency of incidence in
relation to activities, foods, drugs, mental condition, etc.
Everyone seems to have a "diagnosing" CGI. But, does anyone
have a correlating CGI? One that would yiled statistically
significant data for CH? One that anyone in the world
with a pc and access to the www could participate? and be included
in the data?
