If you read the OUCH Mission Statement you will see that OUCH has 4 goals:
1. Provide support to sufferers
2. Provide info to sufferers
3. Increase public awareness
4. Increase research
Donna and BennieSue are doing a super job on the public awareness front. I don't know about anyone else but I'm feeling pretty embarrassed at my lack of action with the Planning Committee duties. (I know hub, you're embarrassed with me too, SHUT UP MAN).
The Education Committee, Ted, drummer, Margi, are also doing a great job with the brochure & newsletter as far as information goes.
The other 2 areas, support and research? What can we do to start working on those goals? What kind of support can we offer sufferers? How do we influence research? I'd like to discuss this at the convention. Where are we going with OUCH. As Jack says, how do we do the most good for the most people? Think about this before Vegas so we can toss it around. If you're not going to Vegas but have some thoughts, send them to an Officer or BOD member so they can voice them at Vegas.
