I basically don't trust doctors much when it comes to clusters. If he is still having the mood changes and it is safe to take him off I believe it would. I am sure that you have searched the drug to learn all about it. Check and see if it needs to be tapered off slowly or if just quitting it outright is ok. You will know in a week if the cold water continues to work and you can always put him back on it. I hate taking these meds myself.
