I know the times I took Stephen to the ER for a couple of his attacks they gave him Tylenol with C first then Demerol and a script for percs. I didn't bother giving him the percocet. The Tylw/c did nothing as the demerol did nothing. It is my understanding that in the majority of CH sufferers pain killers do nothing to help and that has been our experience as well. I say get him off the pain meds, find a neurologist who can/will help him. We were lucky to find a great neuro who specializes in Pediatrics for Stephen. They are out there but I guess it can take some searching. I would call with a emergency imo.
