You are exactly right! The Disability Income policy does not say that if you are aren't hurting enough we won't pay. Pay is based strictly on the inability to work.
If you pay for a DI policy and are disabled then you qualify for the "benefits" (not welfare) BENEFITS.
This disease IS disabling, the degree depends on your own situation.
I was a bit surprised by the tone of the posts. What difference would it make to anyone whether a person received DI or not. If that is an option in certain circumstances then do it. If they advise someone about that option, what is the harm?
Posting opinions and information is what Support Boards are about, but judgemental post????
