Danny - my son is currently on prednisone for clusters. I am on the receiving end of his mood swings and they are bad. The way I look at it is like this. I get bad PMS when I have it I am like Dr Jekle and Mr Hyde. I say things I never would normally say. My patience is extremely thin and the littlest, slightest thing will set me off. It's a horrible feeling because you know you are being irrational but can't control it. I suspect Stephen (my son) and you feel pretty much the same way on the prednisone and I am sorry for that. When Steve is getting on my nerves with his moods I always think to how I act and feel during my times and of course also that I much rather the mood swings than his suffing in pain from clusters. Those thoughts keep me from blasting off at him for his moodiness. Although I won't allow disrespect from him I do allow him his moods. He deserves them as far as I am concerned. Good luck to you! and ITA maybe your wife would benefit from coming here. This is a great place for support for anyone who has or has to live with clusters.
