So I'd like to quote some experts in the field: Hartmut Göbel, Hans-Christoph Diener, Karl-Heinz Grotemeyer, Volker Pfaffenrath of the German Migraine and Headache Society (my translation):

• The best known trigger for a CH attack is alcohol. But it is important to note: it is not alcohol as such that triggers an attack, but the amount of alcohol taken is important. Small amounts can trigger an attack consistently, but larger amounts may even suppress an attack.
