I have hazel eyes. White male, now 51, who started clustering in 1970.
I have had as many as 5 in 10 days. Always at night and in the last 10 years always ending
in vomiting and the dry heaves...which meant relief.
Because I have not seen it mentioned I point out that some beta-blockers, primarily used to treat
hypertension seem to help ameliorate the frequency and severity of clusters.
I have been taking Nadalol for nearly 10 yrs to treat high blood pressure. The Physicians Desk
Reference, I was told by my physician then, has an added benefit of helping with clusters.
I have not had an episode for nearly 4 years, thank God! No one knows the pain and depression clusters
bring unless you are a sufferer. I keep my fingers crossed and think about it every day.
Use Imitrex too, but haven't had to in the 4 years I mentioned.
Bless everyone, though I am not religious. I understand and feel your pain.
Best to All,
Bill Watkins
