Sorry to hear about your mother. I recently received SSI for severe migraines as well as other pain related to the disease. These would include passing out and losing track of time for extended periods, loss of short term memory, and continous 24 hour migraine pain. I am currently petitioning my insurance company for the right to be admitted to the Michigan Head-Pain Neurological Institute and I am awaiting , with anticipation, there final word. I have one of the top neuroligists in the country currently working on my case and he has reccomended that I go to the clinic. He says they are hands down the foremost clinic in the country and perhaps the world in head pain. I do hope that your mother can make it to the clinic and I certainly hope my petition falls on open minded people at my insurance company and that they will allow me the chance to go. Sorry I cant offer any advice on how to get your mother the disabilty she deserves but good luck there and good luck on getting her into the clinic. I only hope the waiting list is not 10 months long.
