I just started taking the 50mg Imitrex for CH. They don't knock it completely out,
but with a nap afterward, it make the pain tolerable. I don't use the injections
anymore because of an annoying side effect - it makes my face feel like it's on fire
(literally, I'm not kidding) for 15 minutes or so. That pain is worse than the
headaches.
The 50mg Imitrex make the pain feel like someone is trying to squahs it back down into
a box that's way to small. But it does knock the pain back until the next one hits.
