Well not long after my first post here Stephen had another sever attack. Although the neurologist told the ER doctor last night that she wanted to see him today or tomorrow, she was out sick and her secretary wouldn't squeez him in. We made a appointment for the 20th. She gave me the run around when I called back during Steve's attack begging her to fit him in with any other doctor there. I finally said *screw it* and took him back to the ER.
Another of the associates from this neurological group was on call there at the hospital and he was called down to examine Steve. He was officially diagnosed with Chronic Paroxysmal Hericrania. From what I was able to gather they are a form of CH but less painful (hard to believe people suffer worse pain!) but more frequent. He perscribed him Indomethacin which he will start tomorrow and gave him a valium to help him relax. Unfortunately it seems to have made him depressed so here he sits, while I type, seeing first hand he is not alone and not abnormal.
I want to thank all of you, from the small amount of time I have had to search around this wonderful site, I can see it is a special place filled with special caring people and I truly appreciate it.
