One of the bizzare side-effects of the 5HTP treatment is that the normally left-sided attacks seem to break through on the right side. These are otherwise exactly the same as the left-sided attacks, but are on the right side. Upon stopping the 5HTP and other meds, they resume on the left and stay there.
This has happened at least three times, most recently a few hours ago. A dose of imitrex aborts the attack, same as on the left. Any ideas on this?
I know it is rare for attacks to switch sides, but that is exactly what is happening to me. At first I thought it was a sign that the cycle was breaking, but now I haven't a clue.
