I just wanted to say "thank you" to all of you that replied to my message "girlfriend of CH sufferer" Your general concensus that CH sufferers prefer to be left alone during an attack has helped me to deal with my boyfriend. Initially, I didn't want to leave him alone, as I wanted to be of help, and I didn't want him to feel as though I was ignoring him or not taking his pain seriously. But I have noticed that when he is in the midst of an attack, my touch is not soothing, so I now ask if there is anything I can get or do for him, and try to stay out of the way. I try to put myself in his shoes, and I certainly wouldn't want someone staring at me, waiting for something to happen if I was in extreme pain.
I am so glad there is this site available, it seems that no-one else can understand or even admit that CH exists other than other sufferers. My boyfriend isn't much of a computer user, so I try to come to this site as often as I can, so I can give him some information on what seems to be helping others and alternative treatments.
Again, thank you all for your suggestions, you are a wonderful group of people, and I hope and pray for HA free days for all of you.
