BEWARE: I recently had the experience of having a moderate sunburn from being on the water over Memorial Day weekend and taking an Imitrex injection to abort a CH-attack. WOW! As the drug coursed through the tiny blood vessels which lie just at skin-level, the hot flash sensation was amplified about 10x more than normal. I was surprised at how the sunburn skin reacted to the imitrex injection. It wasn't the injection, but rather the drug as it worked its way into the blood-stream in the first few seconds after the injection. STILL, when the CH-attack hits, sunburn or not, the injection is my most sure-fire abortive. Just thought I'd pass the experience along.
Have fun this summer!
