Cayenne usually comes as a ground spice in a plastic/cellophane bag or in a bottle.
Try a super in a part of town with "exotic" people, as in: not born w.a.s.p.
But you could buy fresh red peppers, and ask for the ones with the most bite, cut them, and rub the juice.
If you have nought but tabasco, try and rub that also on your temple/nostril whatever. On the outside.
