Brand name is Zostric The generic is Capsaicin.
I use to use the Zostric in my nose and it did abort a cluster but me bing chronic cased a nose bleed after a year of use. The membrains were effected bad. I first heard of this about five years ago on the news. Now a piece of advice if you do put this in your nose do it with a Q tip and just on the inside and it does not take much just a very little. The first timme I did it. I put it in my nose and waited about two minutes and said I don't feel anything so not so smart me put some more in my nose. It burned so bad I had to run to the air condition vent. I still had the cluster but the burning of my nose took my mind right off the pain and the cluster was aborted. I don't know if that is what happened or what. I had to have a 10 level for 30 minutes before I got the guts to do that. It hurts but it has worked for me. but the cluster pain hurts for a hour without it and just a few minutes whith it. The burning only last 5 to 10 minutes.
Paco is right it might be better to use the store kind instead of mixing your own. I did it just to see if it worked. Next time I use the cream I will use ruber gloves to put it on my face cause it takes for ever to get it off your hands.
I hope this helps and it works for you. Remember what works for some does not always work for others.
