Insurance plans vary. If your plan will cover, you can simply rent the tanks and regulator from a medical supplier. Ask for a full-face, non-rebreathing mask. The regulator should be able to supply up to 15 lpm flow rate. I use "E" tanks, which hold about 700 liters. Refills will likely cost $20-25. Check with your ins. co. or have the medical supply people do it for you. When I'm in cycle, I normally go through 4-6 tanks per week.
On usage, I run for the mask at the first indication of a cluster attack. I use 9 lpm setting on the regulator dial. Try to relax and take deep breaths. If it''s going to work, you should get a rapid decrease in pain level within about 5-10 minutes.
Kip will likely post about how to chill your oxygen to make it even more effective, or you can check the archives. Read the medical info and Doc Greg's write-up on oxygen. The links are on the left of your screen. Welcome and good luck.
