I keep reading, "My dr. won't give me O2; my dr won't talk to me about this!;, etc.". PEOPLE (especially you NEW Clusterheads) finding the RIGHT dr. is one of the most important things in treating CHs.
Just because a dr. has a bunch of letters after his name doesn't mean he knows anything about CH. INTERVIEW your dr. BEFORE you start working with him. I've been to some of the best known neuros in the HA field and think some of them are quacks! (and told them so). My internist worked with me for several years until he found me a neuro who is wonderful and UNDERSTANDS because he suffers from miagraines and his associate suffers with CH. It's taken 5 years to find them, but they are wonderful to work with.
I told my neuro about this board and he has been reading it along with several others - just to keep up on what IS working and he's not afraid to try new things.
But PLEASE don't settle for the first dr. you see if he's not doing anything for you. And for goodness sakes ASK QUESTIONS. The more you know.....
Good luck to us all.. BD
