These two drugs and any like them are all but useless in treating headaches -- especially Clusters.
For reasons mentioned by August and because they do not seem to work well on pains above the neck, there is little reason to use them for Clusters.
But, they do address some of the side issues such as neck pain and moods. My wife uses both for cancer pain and they have been absolutely vital to her. But she must use them as pain preventatives, taking them on a regular schedule so that she always has them working in her.
Side effects can become negative over a relatively short time...refer to the VAULTS OF EROWID link in Donna's reply "...interesting site..." about addiction, which can become a problem in many cases.
