The only thing I know about lidocaine is that it is used in "delay spray" for men with complaints of premature ejaculation due to extreme sensitivity of the penis head.
This is a non-prescription spray, so the lidocaine content cannot not be very high, yet it is advisable to use a condom with it, otherwise the lidocaine will affect the vagina, creating a feeling of "entertaining a cold, dead fish" as one lady said.
Feelings in other receptacles have not (yet) been recorded.
So if dead fish relieve CH, go for the patch by all means; it looks snazzier and I fancy the smell is better.
