After reading others' comments, I think I should explain. I am not concerned so much about "important folk" visiting, if "important folk" means doctors and such. I think CH sufferers and their supporters are the more important.
But I myself was taken aback last week (or was it before) to see the tail end of a fight whip around this board. A fight I never understood the cause for.
I you have not been
a. in the chat room where it supposedly started, or
b. one of the regulars who e-mail each other and so can pass on what happened,
you still haven't the foggiest. I know I don't.
I, also, think of this board as a family.
And family members fight. All right. But what I cannot stomach is seeing a number of family members gang up on one ?outsider? without knowing why. And then seeing that one ?outsider? use language that does not give me any pleasure and is, frankly, boring.
I will accept that you all were angry because somebody misbehaved. And if h/she continues to do so, let's as I said freeze them out, by NOT RESPONDING. (Yes this needs to be shouted.)
Personal input, venting, it is great, and we all can relate to that. But please think, not of the important doctor who might drop in, but of the much more important innocent newbie who drops by looking for information, or for that one bit of support that is so desperately needed, and who runs smack into a family fight and still doesn't know what hit her.
