Van Vogt I despise, Clarke is all right as a writer but a most unpleasant person to be with, Fred Pohl has all my admiration and I love Tad Williams Ursula LeGuin, Jack Vance, Ted Sturgeon and Christopher Priest. But ask me again next monday and I'll tell you different.
I do read French, but not well enough to really enjoy a storty, so I don't know Masali. BTW Did you know a story of mine was published in an anthology sandwiched between Sturgeon and Asimov? Now that really IS boasting.
