I'm a scientist at heart. I love experiments!
I also decrease the dose of Verapamil every "once in a while", to see if I no longer have chronic cluster headaches.
I perform this 'experiment' twice a year. I call it the; [Here Goes Nothing] experiment. Like you - I simply stop taking the night-time, 240mg pill, for a few days and I see what happens. Then I stop taking the day-time, 240mg pill, for a few days and I see what happens.
So far, what happens, is this:
I get knocked on my you-know-what, with cluster attacks. I drink lots of water during the; [Here Goes Nothing] experiment. This seems to help my body 'cleanse' itself of the medication. I also drink some chamomille tea, for good luck.
Lately, I have been performing another experiment, too. I have been praying. So far, none of these experiments have produced any results.
I always end up back on the Verapamil.
Good luck with your experiments! I mean that.
