Guys, as I head into a midnight shift, and another one of these stupid headaches just hit, it's comforting (in an odd way) to know that at least it's not all in my mind, and that I'm not the only one who deals with this sort of thing. Taking Advil to see if it works; the Phrenilin I keep on hand for my true migraines is pretty ineffective with these, so am not going to waste it anymore in futile efforts. I think I am fortunate, in that, for the most part, my headaches aren't so debilitating that I can't work...though, occasionally....well, I don't have to describe that, do I? :-) Only just figured out on Thursday that these weren't migraines, or even sinus headaches, when I went to family doc and told him something had to be done to prevent my "migraines" from coming so hard and so fast. He picked up on it immediately. I'm going to start charting these, and trying the Advil until the Temormin (channel/beta blocker) gets into my system, to see if that will help. Proceeding cautiously with adding meds, as I also am on seizure drugs, and there is a delicate balance as I could go toxic on them overnight. So don't want to throw the mix off-balance any more than I have to. Tried to log on to chat this afternoon, but my omputer is too small to handle Communicator well, and it was an exercise in frustration. Oh, well. At least I can connect via message board. BTW....also lucky that I've found a good neuro and good family doc, who are not only both on faculty at UMC Med Center, but are open-minded enough to respect that I know my own body better than they do, and they act as resources, not demi-gods; we work as a team...and what's more, they are willing to learn from ME. Not bad for Jackson, Mississippi, huh? :-) Well, thanks for hearing me out; I know this posting has been long. Take care. C'ya!
