Sandy: I'm new here too. Just found out myself I had CH on April 20th. I still don't know if I believe my doctor. I'm still checking out my cycle or what I now know as a cycle. I have shadows most all day every day for going on 4 weeks. Sometimes my pain is so strong I feel nauseated like you. I wake up each morning at 2am with pain in my right side of my head, with probing pain in my right temple,eye, cheekbone, down my right cheek into my upper gum. I have pain in my ear and my nose runs. This is what I'v read here and in a book I'v pick up at the library, this sounds like clusterheadaches, but I'm still waiting for my GP to write me a referral to a neurologist to confirm this diagnosis. It seems I'm going to have to go visit him soon before my next bout hits. Check your local library for a book called: Migraine and other headaches By: Prof. James Lance. It covers every kind of headaches thats known so far. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting. I was so scared, because I didn't know what clusterheadaches were. This site has help me back track my cycles from last January until now. When I do finally go see a neurologist I can better explain what I am feeling besides having dizziness and blurred vision. Write your symptoms down. Check how long your pain lasts? How often then come during the day or night? Do you have periods of peace or are you having shadows? As you learn about this disorder, please begin tracking youself and have a neurologist have a look at you. Then we might both have to learn to live and breath Clusterheadaches as these brave people have done for so long. May God Bless each and every one of you for your long suffering, and your courage.
