the xilocaine anaesthetization last 2 or 3 days from the instillation (someone says 2 weeks, but it seems me too much.....)!
what the heck you have to wait a bout of cluster to do that? and, anyway, I do not recommend you to do DURING an attack: lying on a bed and absolutely don't moving for 20 mins during a cluster ....hmmmmm.

And about the teeth....many and many are!(obviously before knowing they got CH)
