You're right. The article was ridiculous in terms of the amount of women with 'post-50' onset of Cluster Headache.
In regards to the CH.com survey, though - I must ask this:
How many people who took the survey had Migraines, or another form of headache? We'll never know. How many people took the survey more than once? We'll never know. Looking at the gender column of the CH.com survey, and then comparing it to the total amount of people who took it - it doesn't add up. Some people don't know if they have a Penis or a Vagina.
Example: 3,819 people took the survey. 2,774 males and 1,016 females. 2,774 plus 1,016 equals 3,790. That means that 29 people don't know if they have a Penis or a Vagina.
Talk about a bizarre conclusion!
