I'm glad you suggested taking the day off. My husband got me a pretty card and a cake. And I am being lazy this am.
But it is back to the grind later because he does the grass and trees, repairs and cooking. I do the washing and cleaning - two never-ending chores I would love to retire from.
My own personal opinion, humble though it may be, is that all women should be given a team of elves after they have performed 40 years of household chores. I would like to have a bunch of little green men or women who would take over the work so I could play at my computer, read books, lunch with friends, shop with my children when they are home, and smell the roses instead of pruning them and spraying for black spot.
