I would like to thank everyone for helping me realize that I need to take control of this thing myself and not just rely on doctor's advice. To those of you who don't know me, I have been an episodic clusterhead for 20 years. I am now seeing a new doc, and after two sphenopalentine ganglion blocks (thanks to Riccardo for correcting me on the proper name of this procedure) I have been pain free for 5 DAYS during the peak of this cycle. This AM I had serious shadows, tried oxygen FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER (which thanks to this site I insisted that the doc give me oxygen and Imitrex) and beat the beast in less than five minutes!!! I should have 2 to 3 weeks left in this cycle, but now feel that I have good weapons for battle.
As soon as I can collect my thoughts, I will sign the guestbook and try to list all of the things I have tried for the last twenty years. Also, I will add a link to this site to my personal website. If there is anything else I can do to promote this cause, please let me know :)
