I'm exactly like you. Episodic with 2 1/2 year remissions between bouts. Boss that says take any and all time off I need. Doc says come on in any time I want, I go to the head of the line, asks what I want to take. Family that has learned exactly what to do, leave me alone during a headache.
You can still help the others. I've hung around and managed to help this guy named Hub. He was the most pitiful piece of crap you had ever seen. Always pissin' 'n moanin'. Feeling sorry for himself and wanting everybody else to also. I finally had enough of him and told him SHUT UP HUB! It worked! Ever since he's been halfway decent. He still shows up with snide remarks every now and then. You just need to put him back in his place. If you happen to see him on the board just tell him, SHUT UP HUB! He'll appreciate the reminder.
