Doctors are the same the world over it seems!
Everyone here can tell you a horror story about a doctor, even lots of doctors. The shame is they take an oath to protect life and end pain - and oftentimes they subjugate life and prolong pain.
Im fighting my own gp at the moment just to be refered to a neuro hospital for assessment and treatment. His attitude towards me, and the doctors that are trying to help me, has even given THEM cause for concern.
I think too many doctors (and insurance companies) worry about their budgets. In some medicos cases I think they suffer from the "God/Christ complex". After all, in most of our cases they have the power to help ease our pain, and others they even have the power of life and death! You know what they say about power corrupting.......
We're here for you if you need to talk, the people here support each other and they've helped save me from the ultimate a few times even though they dont know it.
I hope we get some help soon......all of us. I think what it needs is a celebrity to suffer with it (not that Im wishing this on anyone),or a government official - then watch the world pump billions into research! Or am I just being a touch cynical?
