I believe your question is one that should get a flood of replies, Verapamil is one of the most effective maintainence meds on the market, prior to the release of Sumatriptan and the ensueing triptans taht emerged from that base med it was alone in it's class as far as over all results, not it shares the success story with sumatriptan.
I have used it for a number of years with varying degree's of relief. My first run with it in 1974-1976 brought me as close as I have ever been to Pain Free, for some mysterious reason it stopped working after the two years, we tried Daltazem next and it never even came clost to helping. Several years later I revisited the verapamil hoping for some relief,but it just wasn't in the cards for me. I'm glad to hear it's working for you and I think a little backwards reading on this board will produce a ton of information as far as good results.
