The question shouldn't be so much what do I get from OUCH as it should be what can I do for OUCH. And in doing for OUCH, do for other CH sufferers.
If you take a look at the committee section of the Bylaws, you'll see the functional groups OUCH hopes to have (some are already in place and at work). The Membership Committee is busy getting the word out and encouraging people to join in the fight. Education Committee has produced the brochure which is already being distributed throughout the world. Bennie Sue is working on the large drugs stores (Rite Aid) in getting the brochre displayed there. Media Committee is also getting OUCH and CH.com linked on all the other medical sites. Jack and Paul (Science Comm) have given us the scatter diagrams on the web site ( a tool to aid in determining triggers). They are discussing other items which may help researchers (after all , we have access to the largest group of CH sufferers in the world).
So Riccardo is correct. Mainly what you get from OUCH is being able to say you were a part of the only organized group of CH fighters in the world.
While I'm on the subject, the Convention. In 3 weeks I'm supposed to turn in a list of room reservations to the Monte Carlo accounting for 60% odf the 200 room reserved. That's 120 reservations. To date I have 4. If things don't change drastically in the next 2 weeks, OUCH is going to seriously have to consider cancelling the convention. Sorry to have to say this but it's fact. It's not looking good.
