if Backwards Reincarnation is true, Adam and Eve were only the 'first people' in that they were the people who were preincarnated to the earliest point, at least so far and so far as we presently have records.
If we follow this Yossarian logic (logissarianistic thinking, if you will) through, it becomes obvious that Adam and Eve could and must have been anyone who has 'lived' since they walked the Garden of Eden.
This opens an entirely new train of thought, which personally I feel explains many things. First, and foremost to our hearts--clusters. I conclude that drummer was most likely preincarnated as Adam and Eve was a non-cluster. This accounts for the higher frequency among males. It also conveniently allows us to support Bobp's theory that drummer is to blame for all clusters. (Although this last point is not critical to the theory, as any other cluster could have been, or could still become, Adam.)
Next, the pyramids, and all other 'ancient' feats of engineering which we can still not duplicate, even with 'modern' tools and knowledge. Obviously, the builders of these monuments are people who have not yet been born, yet have subsequently died and were preincarnated into the appropriate era. They retained their advanced knowledge, even while not knowing why they knew what they knew.
I could go on and on, but it's getting late. I will close by saying that 'BR', or as I prefer to think of it, preincarnation, may just be the theology that causes me to abandon my agnosticism. I think it should be called the Church of the Preincarnated and our first pleadings should be:
1. Don't blame me, I haven't been born yet
2. Forgive me for that which I have already done in the future, and for that which I will do in the past, at some later time.
