I am one of the rare ones that suffer from chronic cluster headache. There is no let up only a continuos cycle.
I have been on sansert, cafergot, lithium, O2, Zylocaine Spray, Imetrex, prednesone, Isoptin, and a host of others.
All do little to curb or relieve. My headaches start when I try to relax or about 1.5 hrs after eating or starting to sleep.
Fiorecet has been the best painkiller as narcotics tend to "rebound". Recently I began taking a new med from Glaxo designed
for migraine called Amerge. It is like a miracle. It is an abortive and works within 10 min of being taken and gives me up to 12
hrs of relief. For the first time in over a decade I am getting a full nights sleep. Amerge is expensive but worth every dime.
