Sorry you had problems with the Forums. Here are some tips:
First, you must be a member to post. If you attempt to "Sign In" without having first "Sign(ed) Up", you will just be returned to a blank screen with no explanation why.
To Sign Up, click the "Sign Up" link.
1. Your User Name must be unique to you.
2. Your password must be AT LEAST 6 characters-and only letters and numbers, no symbols.
3. You must enter a unique email address. You have the option at the bottom of the sign up form to allow it so be shown or not.
4. If you should encounter an error, say by entering the same User Name as an existing member, it will tell you this. What it WON'T mention is that is also cleared the password, so you will have to re-enter it as well as change your name.
Okay, let's say you've gotten through the sign UP process. It returns you to the boards, but your 'name' is still Guest. You now need to Sign IN.
When you click Sign In, your cursor is NOT already in the User Name box. If you just start typing, nothing happens. First tab or click into that box. Then tab or click again to get into the password box.
If you select "Remember password", as soon as you start entering your User Name, a box will drop down with your name already in it. Click on it and your password will also magically appear. Then just click the Sign In button and you're in.
Sorry for the confusion. Guess we need to post details like this on the site. I'll get to it asap, but I'm out of town at a convention right now so it may take a few days.
