But I didn't. After a trip to the neuro, starting Verapamil 240mg, 2X daily, on top of lithium 300mg, 3X daily, indocin,75mg.daily, and prednisone, starting at 60mg,for 5 days, 50mg 5days, 40, etc.I was still getting hit 2-5 times daily and/or nightly. Thank God oxygen worked pretty well. I was off insurance until yesterday, so went without the luxury of imitrex or Amerge. Until today. We decided to stay off the prednisone, and up the lithium to 1200mg/day before basically "cleaning house", and starting Depakote. The neuro also recommended a sleep study. Evidently, there may be some correlation between CH and sleep apnea--in some people. I know that I snore, but I don't know about sleep apnea. The doc said that some people with apnea don't even snore...that was news to me.
So there's my latest adventure with the medical community...Oh yeah, my "new" insurance company is already grousing about the Amerge prescription...typical. Stay pain-free!
