Mike, I used the verapamil at that dosage, it gave me some relief, but never ended the cluster cycle.I also used all three forms of imitrex. The pills were too slow,, so useless, the injections were the fastest, most reliable and most expensive. I finally settled on the nasal spray, it worked a little slower than the injections, but was half the cost, my ins. co. pays 80%. It was also easier to use when I needed it real fast in a public place. I could pull one out and use it in seconds, without drawing as much attention as using an injection would. I was able to limit the use of imitrex by using oxygen to abort all but the worst headaches. The 02 is definatly worth a try. I'm also a father, at one time I became so afraid to leave the house at certain times of day, I started missing my daughters softball games etc.. Being able to carry the imitrex in my pocket, and knowing it would work pretty quick, gave me the confidence back to go where I wanted when I wanted. I'm sorry that you have a need for this site, but for those who have clusters, its the place to be.
